Creating wearable art with vintage and reclaimed textiles has been my biggest passion as a fiber artist and sewist. While on the hunt for unique textiles at antique and thrift stores, I discovered many forgotten designer bags and accessories waiting to be rescued and given new life. Cleaning and repairing these bags became a challenge i welcome. Repurposing non wearable items into something new and exciting has become my favorite art process. As my collection of rehomed bags and accessories grew, Daye & Layne was created.
